MEMPHIS vs. MICHIGAN
Memphis is the bonafide worst team in the league, and it honestly isn’t particularly close. They have a negative margin for error score, buttressed by being dead last inn score prevention behavior rate, giving up well over an average of 1 point per minute, and somehow getting worse by 85% week to week.
Michigan is headed in the opposite direction and sit third in our Total Team Behavior Score ranking after a decisive victory against DC. They’re seeing 13% were over week growth in their scoring behavior, and are holding opponents to little more than half a point per minute on defense. The most likely outcome is a Michigan BLOWOUT 37-17 over the Showboats.
Bet Placed
Panthers -8.5 (-110)
Houston vs. Birmingham
Birmingham remains unbeaten after beating the Battlehawks in Week 7, though breaking their quarterbacks ankle surely helped with that endeavor. Nevertheless they proved the eliteness of their offense in their toughest test of the season and are on their way to an average scoring behavior of over 1 point per game minute.
Houston, currently the second worst team in the league, is unlikely to win this one and will most likely lose by a score of 26-19, with the chance o score even less than that.
Bet Placed
Roughnecks +16 (-110)
DC vs. St. Louis
It remains to be seen just how much the AJ McCarron ankle injury, which derailed them against Birmingham, is going to effect the rest of the battle hawks season, but they are at least being given a much easier test as they go against the DC Defenders.
DC is barely averaging more than half a point per minute when they have the ball, and they are regressing in that area by 14% week over week. Even with the QB injury, the Battlehawks defense should clean that up and propel St. Louis to the 22-14 victory.
Bet Placed
Battlehawks -7.5 (-110)
Arlington vs. San Antonio
The Bahamas got off the shit list….barely. That defense remains championship caliber, but man the offense is a disaster. Regressing at a remarkably consistent 45% week over week, if they want to have chance at competing in the postseason, they have got to get that fixed.
Dormady was mercifully pulled after a late 3rd quarter interception and Hogan provided an instant spark in relief bringing them back from a 9 point 4th quarter deficit.
Their Week 8 opponent is surging. The Renegades Mollywhopped Memphis dropping 47 points on them in just 27 minutes, without the help of any defensive touchdowns.
They are seeing 90% growth in their scoring behavior week to week, and 16% improvement in their score prevention behavior rate week to week, seemingly figuring out their defensive problems.
Arlington is the hottest trending team right now according to our Improvement Index, and San Antonio could easily get handed a loss in this one. We see this as neck and neck with a slight edge to San Antonio 19-18, but could see it going either way if the Brahamas offense can’t correct the ship.
Bet Placed
Arlington +3.5 (-110)
Arlington ML (+164)
