Another late-season Saturday Showdown. The Bengals will look to take a step closer to the playoffs with back up Jake Browning, but will need to do it in hostile territory without Jamar Chase, and against a Steelers team holding out hope. Will Browning’s evolution since his first meeting with Pittsburgh be enough?

The night cap matchup is only impactful in that the Bills are looking to do what seemed improbable when they lost to the Bengals, Broncos, and Eagles in a four game stretch…make the playoffs. A win against a reeling Chargers team puts them one step closer.

But the Chargers do provide some fascination, as we discuss in the article. We saw a team QUIT on national TV. Was Staley’s presence acting as a punisher (abating desired behavior)? Will his removal act as a reinforcer? The answer could determine who covers the spread in this game.
