1. 2023-2024 AFBA Review

The Applied Football Behavior Analytics show that the Bengals, Eagles, and Giants were the three most diappointing teams when looking at them year over year from 2022 to 2023.

What went wrong, and how do they fix it for 2024?

We get into all of it HERE:

2. Mike Evans Resigns With Bucs

It was reported that Mike Evans has agreed to a new 2-year, $52 Million deal with the Buccaneers, with approximately $35 Million garunteed.

Evans is coming off yet another 1,000 yard season and resigning him was one of the key steps we outlined in our Sunday piece on how the Bucs could keep the momentum from their stellar 2023 season moving forward.

That leaves the case Baker Mayfield. We also said they should resign him for the purposes of continuity. We shall see if that is the next domino to fall in Tampa Bay.

Here is our ENTIRE Offseason reccomendations for the Bucs, and why…

3. Jason Kelce Retires

One of the greatest Centers of all time has retired, with kelce announcing his decsion at a press conference in Philadelphia. Kelce is a national treasure, and a player fans from any team would be hapy to have on their team. What he has meant to that team theiur success of the late 2010’s and early 2020’s cannot be overstated.

His departure only highlights the issues laid out in the Analytcis review above. It means more environmental change in Philadelphia, in more ways than one. Even more pressure has been placed on Nick Siriani.

4. Chris Mortensen Passes Away At Age 72

I did not know Mort personally. But I know enough of the people who did to know how special he was to them. NFL Media titans like Trey Wingo and Daniel Jeremiah, both of whom I have worked with personally, were deeply saddened at the news.

I also know enough to know that my ability to co-own and build a company like Pro Football Network, and now Football Behavior, is in no small part due to the pioneering of someone like Mort to grow the national interest in this sport.

He blazed a path in sports media that opened up the pathway to careers and love of this game like few others before him, or since. I feel now as I did with the passing of another legend John Clayton, who I did get to know personally. We stand on the shoulders of those who dared to love a sport so deeply that they wanted to share that love with all of us, and make it possible for others to do so.

Thank you Mort, and may your loved ones find comfort in the wonderful life you lived, and the lives you touched.
